Privacy Policy

Your privacy and the security of your personal data are very important to Dige Designs. That is why we are collecting and managing your personal data with the utmost attention and are adopting specific measures to keep it secure. This Privacy Policy describes how and what information we collect via www.digedesigns.com and by other means (e.g., via social media, cookies, etc.), how we use it and to whom and under what circumstances we may disclose it. For detailed information on how Dige Designs manages your personal data, please read this document carefully.

The personal information we collect and process under this Privacy Policy means any information from which you can be identified and includes your name, postal address, zip code, email address, telephone number, date of birth, payment information, demographic information, transaction details, IP address, website usage information and other information we may collect, depending on the circumstances.

WHO CONTROLS THE DATA?

The personal information we collect under this Privacy Notice is controlled by Dige Designs with registered office at Lyneborggade 23, 2th., 2300 Copenhagen, Denmark. For any clarification, request or requirement related to your privacy and to the processing of your personal data, you may contact us at any time by sending an email to info(at)digedesigns.dk.

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Dige Designs uses information from our interactions with you and other customers to help achieve the goal of providing the highest quality products and services. Dige Designs respects the privacy rights of our online visitors and recognizes the importance of protecting the information collected about them. We have established procedures that ensure your personal data is processed in a responsible manner.

WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT?

The personal data that Dige Designs processes is the information that you provide when you subscribe to the newsletter, place an online order and/or participate in competitions. You will always be informed in relation with the collection of personal information about you. The personal information that we collect can include, for example, contact information such as first and last name, your e-mail address, your private address, your phone number, data relating to payment, information about an online purchase and on your navigation of the website.

When submitting information, you will always be informed whether the input is voluntary or a requirement for the implementation of the desired action, such as completing a transaction in our webshop. You are under no obligation to provide any such information. Providing your personal data to us (in particular, your personal details, your email, your address, your credit/debit card numbers and bank code and your telephone number) is necessary for processing your order for the purchase of products on the Website, supplying other services provided on the Website upon your request, or when your personal data is needed to fulfil obligations required by law or regulations. The refusal to provide us with any personal data necessary for performing the above purposes may consequently prevent us from processing your order for the purchase of products sold on the Website or fulfilling obligations required by law and other regulations. Therefore, failure to provide personal data may constitute, in some cases, a legitimate and justified reason for not processing your order for the purchase of products sold on the Website or not providing the Website’s services.

Disclosure of further personal data to us other than that required for fulfilling legal or contractual obligations and to properly browse our services with necessary traffic data is, on the contrary, optional and does not have any effect on the use of the Website and of its services or on the purchase of products on the Website. We will inform you at every step whether disclosing your personal data to us is required or optional by marking with an appropriate symbol (*) the information that is required or data needed for the purchase of products and/or for the provision of requested services on the Website.

We collect your personal information in one or more of the following cases:

  • When you make an online purchase on our webshop
  • When you subscribe to our newsletter
  • When you create a customer account through our webshop
  • When you participate in a competition

Even if you use your email address in more than one of the above cases, your details will only be collected and registered in a single location. This allows your information to be reused, for example, when you make a purchase with us, while at the same time ensuring that you do not receive the same marketing material from us more than once.

In some cases, you may provide personal information to us about another person, such as when you purchase a gift for someone and request that we ship it to that person, or when you share Website content with another person. In such cases, you confirm that you have the authorization of such person to provide us with such information.

Subscribing to our newsletter:
Entering your details and subscribing to the newsletter means that you are giving Dige Designs your consent to collect and process your personal information, for the purpose of sending you our newsletter. You may withdraw your consent at any time through the opt-out link in the bottom of each newsletter.

Creating a user account:
When you create an account, your personal information will be processed in accordance with current personal data legislation. This means that your personal information is treated as confidential. The purpose of collecting your information is to create an account for you, where you can access your order history, enter and manage several shipping addresses and proceed through the check-out process more conveniently.

You may at any time contact us to obtain a copy of the personal information we have registered about you. In addition, you can always ask us to rectify incorrect information, delete or raise an objection to or limiting the processing of your information. If you have any questions about our processing of your information, you are also welcome to contact us at info(at)digedesigns.dk. If you would like your account to be deleted, send an email at any time, asking us to delete your account.

TRANSFER AND PROCESSING OF INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTY COUNTRIES (NON-EU MEMBERS)

Transfer of your personal data from your country of residence to third countries (notably to countries where we operate) will be involved; some of these countries are subject to a data protection adequacy decision of the European Commission, whereas others are not, such as the US. To ensure the protection of your personal data is consistent with applicable law, such transfers outside your country of residence or the EEA will be made pursuant to the EU Model Clauses, the EU-US or CH-US Privacy Shield certification, Binding Corporate Rules or other acceptable legal mechanisms.

FOR WHAT PERIOD OF TIME DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA?

Additionally, our service providers are not authorized to use or disclose your personal information for any purpose other than providing the services to us or on our behalf, or as otherwise may be required by applicable law. For the best possible protection of your personal data outside the limits of our control, your device should be protected (such as by updated antivirus systems) and your internet service provider should take appropriate measures for the security of network data transmission (such as, for example, firewalls and anti-spam filtering). While we endeavor to always protect our systems, Websites, operations and information against unauthorized access, use, modification and disclosure, due to the inherent nature of the Internet as an open global communications vehicle and other risk factors, we cannot guarantee that any information, during transmission or while stored on our systems, will be absolutely safe from intrusion by others, such as hackers. You accept the inherent security implications of dealing on-line over the Internet and will not hold Dige Designs or their processors responsible for any data breach unless it is due to our negligence.

PHISHING, SPOOFING & OTHER SCHEMES

To provide you with increased security, certain personal information stored in your online account is only accessible via your username and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your online account credentials, and we strongly recommend that you do not disclose your online account username or password to anyone. It has become increasingly common for hackers, cyber-criminals and other unauthorized individuals to send emails and other communications to consumers purporting to represent a legitimate company, such as a bank or an online retailer, and requesting through those communications that the consumer provide personal, often sensitive, information. Sometimes, the domain name of the sender’s email address, or the domain name of the website requesting such information, may appear to be the domain name of a legitimate, trusted company. If you receive a request to provide information, including your online account password, or any payment information, via email or to a website or individual that does not seem to be affiliated with Dige Designs, or that otherwise seems suspicious to you, please do not respond or disclose your information. We will never send you an email requesting that you verify any credit card information, financial information, password or other personal information. Please immediately report any such communication or request to us at info(at)digedesigns.dk.
